Breeders in NJ area

My golden, Ginger, passed after 14.5 wonderful years with us last month. The breeder we got her from has passed as well, so we are on the search of a new breeder.

I've checked out the club pages (GSGRC and NJ Pine Barrens), contacted a few breeders, and have searched these forums and the internet.

Now I need your help! There are several breeders that seem like they are reputable and produce healthy goldens with good personalities. This is such a big decision that I want to do as much research as possible to find a dog as great as our Ginger.

Does anyone have recommendations or opinions of NJ breeders? We are willing to travel the state of NJ and into the Philly suburbs for the right puppy. Any opinions specifically on Penny Lane Goldens?

Thanks so much!!

You can contact Susan Lee in Medford. sweetleagoldens@comcast.net I know a girl she bred just had a big litter so there is a good possibility there are puppies still available. Good luck with your search.

Stonehill Estates Kennel & Grooming NJ, Kennel in New Jersey

I take my dog there for boarding... and they are also breeders,

if you want to travel into NY... I belive this board speaks highly of Amberglo Goldens, where companion and champion golden retrievers have always been equally important

i would highly recommend Goldilocks Goldens in Levittown PA. I was very happy with them and the puppy we got. Also got to talk to some other people who were boarding there that had got their goldens from them and they couldn't be happier either.

good luck

They don't have enough info on their website to be recommended at this time. They claim that they do clearances, and they may, but they don't list AKC names for any of their dogs to verify this information. For that reason I would look elsewhere or ask for the info.

I think SweetLea is a good starting point as is Delmarva.

Pennylane is a very reputable breeder with beautiful dogs. We have a pup down the street from us and Pennylane and know of her as she works closely with Jansun who is our youngest boy's breeder. I would say that Pennylane would be a very nice choice!
