pedigree/clearance question

Hi everyone,

There is a litter I am considering out of Zumbro Goldens and I need some help evaluating the pedigree as I am new to all this as I look for a well bred golden puppy for our family.

Clearances and pedigree on mom look great (ch teddybear's whats up doc)

The dad is ch castlerock let it be. He is missing eye and heart clearances ( I know I need to ask breeder about this) HIs sire has all the appropriate clearances but his mom ( just moor something about Mary) doesn't appear to have any clearances at all that I can find. Is this a concern assuming that castlerock's let it be eyes and heart are done and just not registered? How far back into a pedigree do I need to go to look for clearances?

You can check the CERF registry to see if eyes have been done. I am not sure about the heart clearance. You will have to ask the breeder.

Personally when I am looking for a puppy, I look for complete clearances for the past 4-5 generations.

I would definitely ask the breeder on this one. Never assume they all have the clearances.

A breeder friend of mine had a litter by Brit (CH Castlerock Let it Be). She is very very thorough in her research of clearances when determining what lines are to be introduced into her kennel. They turned out very nice too! She kept two for showing. He is a beautiful dog with a very nice pedigree from what I see. : )

I used him too and have copies of all of his clearances - Mary had hips/elbows done OVC in Canada (where she lives) - Tiffany (Brit's owner) is EXTREMELY ethical and is an awesome lady!!!
