| been up all night with Layla... Is anyone here to hold my hand? I am so worried about my peanut, she is having an allergic reaction to something...bee stings, or the SAM-e we started her on. The Vet said she could have 2 benadryl 3 x a day...it seems to wear off in 3 hours and she swells up again. I am trying to hold off until 6 am to give her next dose. She won't let me hold an ice pack on her muzzle - she looks so miserable. Julie

| Poor Layla can't relax on a good day LOL...when she is not feeling well she gets super stressed. I tried to sleep on the couch with her, she would snuggle for a few minutes, jump down, pace, do that crazy shaking thing she does when she is stressed, jump back up again. After 2 1/2 hours of it, I gave up and made coffee! Of course now that I gave up, guess who is napping?

| I am sorry you are having such an unsettled night. I know that terrible worried feeling all too well. I hope your pup and you are feeling better soon.

| Shhhhh....don't wake Layla. :-) Chester got bit by something on the face (spider we think) a few years ago and the vet had to give him a shot of something the benadryl wasn't strong enough. I would give the vet all call when they open if she doesn't seem better.

| Thanks all, I just gave her the third dose....it's close enough to 6 am. If she is not better soon I will be taking her in - she just may need a shot. Her snout looks like a football!
