Hows Layla? I was trying to remember what the vet did for Chester when he got bit by spider and I think he got a shot of steroids for the swelling. Update when you can.

I hope Layla is feeling better this morning. I wouldn't wait, take her tot he vet poor baby.

Years ago sunny scratched her cornea badly, I had to put drops in her eye every two hours. I was getting up at night, racing home from work... for a week. I know how you feel, when they are hurting so are you. Hope she is better and you both get to take a long nap today.

Not a good day for the peanut Layla, or mommy...
Layla was not doing any better after her third dose of benadryl this morning, so we went to the Vet at 8:30...we had to wait for a bit, but not too long because of it being a severe allergic reaction.

Layla got IV steroids, sub q fluids (she's a camel LOL), and a famatodine injection...they did blood work, and are running a full thyroid panel. Surprisingly Layla did pretty well considering .

Just as we were getting ready to leave the fire alarm goes off - total chaos, and ya know Layla hates loud noises. We tried to make a break for it, before the fire trucks got there... as we were getting in the van a man runs over and tells me an elderly man backed into my van and two other cars and left. He hit my van pretty hard...the guy gave me his license plate and make of car.

On the bright side Layla does look better - we need to continue the benadryl for 4 more days....She got a cheeseburger for her traumatic morning!

Please keep Layla in your thoughts...she is not out of the woods yet. We still don't know what caused this reaction.

Oh-boy you are having a fine time of it.

Happy to hear Layla is doing better and hope they find out it was just a bad reaction to a sting and nothing serious.

so sorry about your car, hope you reported it to the police. There is no excuse for a hit and run. I also hope your vet clinic didn't go up in smoke and everyone/animals got out ok, how scary and traumatic for the sick animals.
