Things you have in your home that others would consider weird...

I was taking pictures of the boys and realized that there are some things in the backgrounds of the pictures that others might think are weird to have on display in our home. We have, in our living room, a rocket launcher (that is no longer able to be used) and a brick from the original Corvette factory in Flint, MI. The rocket launcher was a gift from my fiance's dad to my fiance for his 18th birthday. I got to pick out the bedding, so he got to decorate the living room - which I'm still kicking myself over. He thinks the rocket launcher is "cool-looking". The brick was purchased at the Corvette Museum in Kentucky - Jeff LOVES Corvettes. So now I'm wondering...what do you have in your home that others might consider weird?

Good one!

Let's see, a basket of woobies, a toy box of woobies, and 3 tier basket thingy, yes, full of woobies, 2 dog crates, 2 dog beds, a wicker basket of brushes, combs, detanglers, nail clippers, a wicker basket of collars and leashes, a small wicker basket of deer antlers and marrow bones, oh, did I mention, a pile of random woobies scattered about? Oh, one more thing, 2 Goldens sprawled across the floor or furniture at any given time.

Well, to a non-dog person, this may seem weird huh? LOL!

Dog tokens.... as in things we made to symbolize our dogs at some point or other.

So for example -

The first picture would be two tokens for our Danny. The "Surfer Boy" thing was a nickname we had for him, because he was our first blondie. The other one was one I did when he was a little older.

The second pic - the "Blue Boy" symbolized our Sammy (because we joked about how he was a sad blue spaniel at heart). Then the three others symbolized him as he grew up and how he changed colors. There was even a puppy one of him (pinkish puppy retrieving a star - commemorating the day he got his CD title), but my sister has that in her house.

The third one is the only token I have for Jacks so far when he was a pup. I'll have to do a current one, now I think of it...

About 500 beanie babies. I started collecting them during a very stressful time in my life. Guess I was really stressed out. I don't know what to do with them now.

We have two skulls hanging on our wall. as in Georgia OKeefe decor. : )
One is a Desert Mountain Ram and the other a bull. They are bleached white and go with our Frank Howell Native American prints. Some people find them weird. : )

Haha...I have literally a full 1974 Plymouth Cuda (not a baraccuda but an actual Cuda black on black) interior in my spare room. The seats, door panels, carpetting, dash, etc because heaven forbid that the number matching all original (except carpet that was purchased thru a car restore website) Cuda interior be put in the storage shed outside with the rest of the car parts junk. It drives me nuts because Ive got a crammed room that needs reorganized but I cant do it till that interior is gone and put back in the car.

Ive also got wicker baskets that I really should clean out. They are mostly just strategically placed around the house to collect random stuff that I dont really have a place for. My basket on top of my tv has nail clippers (human and dog), Franklins sweater, batteries, coupons, its also where I hid my Netflix stuff and the DVD cases to what we are currently watching so Max doesnt eat them. Ive also got bags, boxes and random pillow cases in my spare room stuffed full of yarn for different projects or just yarn I got cuz it was nice and on sale. A wall full of shoes LOL (again hidden from Max so he doesnt eat them). My cats have their own bedroom (alot of people including BF think thats absurd) but what is better having the litter boxes out of dogs reach or out somewhere were people could see a cat going potty. Ill take the bedroom. Our spare room has become a hodge podge of stuff we have no place for it out in the living room. Im just glad we keep the door shut all the time or else people would really see how much junk we really have.
