I found a bright orange styrofoam float (that fishermen use) on the beach in Nova Scotia. I took it home and threaded its rope through the door knocker on my front door. There is nothing nautical about my house, my setting, etc so probably to anyone else it looks very weird hanging on my front door (but I like it because it reminds me of my vacation)

Haha! Was that during the period when people believed that they'd be worth a lot of money one day?

Sock Monkey Collection

My Great Grandmother made them for me when I was little. I found an old one in a thrift store about 15 years ago and have been collecting them ever since. Sometimes I dress them up for the holidays (what a surprise, huh???) and I am always making them for my family and friends. Usually there are a couple in some state of undress lying about the house. This is my newest girl, Joylene.

I love your sock Monkeys...Joylene is so cute with her little JOY cross. Do you have them for every holiday? My brother (50 year old) made his granddaughter a sock monkey last year he used my grandmothers very old sewing machine it was the cutest and sweetest thing and so not something my brother would normally do.

I have a large dog crate in my living room.

Not strange right?

What if I tell you that a rabbit is living in it!

For some reason every house my family has lived in had a paw print in one if the bricks. Mind you this is 4 houses in 4 states, and they all came that way.

My house is infested with Disney. Every room has something Disney whether it's DVD's, figurines, snowglobes, stuffed animals, pictures, etc. People might think I'm obsessed....but I guess that's because I am.
