why do I do this? - sleeping habits

I hate waking up in the mornings, I'll hit the snooze button over and over before getting out of bed. I will take a nap any chance I during the day. But then when it's actually time for me to go to bed I fight it and want to stay up.

It's after 11, I took a benadryl 30 minutes ago (because I'm pretty sure I'm allergic to Flip), and I can barely keep my eyes open, but I don't want to go to bed! What's wrong with me??? Sometimes I think I'm messed up in the head.

Some people are just morning people, and some are night people. I have to set my alarm clock for an hour before I need to wake up so that I'm able to hit snooze like 6 times.. otherwise I will not be able to wake up! I've learned that I am someone who needs A LOT of sleep so I do force myself to go to bed at a reasonable hour, but I am definitely a night owl so its not always easy.

I do the same, my clock is set 1 hour ahead, so I can hit it snooze more then 6 times..lol

Night owl here too, I will get naps in every once in a while, during the week I force myself to go to bed at least by 11:30 pm

Glad I'm not the only one! Part of me thinks its ridiculous and I'd probably wake up more rested if I had gotten that last hour of uninterrupted sleep instead of waking up every 9 minutes when my alarm goes off.. but I know myself better than to think I'd be able to get up after one alarm!!

I used to take naps every day when I was in college. Those were the days. I don't have time for naps now

I used to do the "extended snooze button thing" when I worked 1st shift. I have been working 2nd shift for almost 10 years now, so I rarely use an alarm. I'm a night owl, so it works well for me

My wife ABUSES the snooze button. Our alarm clock has 2 alarms and she sets both so that she can hit the snooze for close to 2 hours.

I don't know what I'd do if my fiance was a light sleeper... he works nights, doesn't usually get to sleep until about 4-5am and he'd probably kill me for hitting snooze over and over and over just a couple hours later.. but luckily he sleeps like a dead person and it doesn't seem to bother him.

I use my phone as my alarm, so I literally could hit snooze forEVER and it would never stop LOL ... I think the most I've ever done was 8 times... that's 72 minutes of me not being able to drag my butt out of bed, that's pretty bad!!

Everytime my alarm goes off, Sammy gets a little excited hoping I'll get up that time... he sighs loudly everytime I snooze it and close my eyes again!

Sometimes after hitting the snooze button I'll just give in and reset my alarm for 30 minutes later. Of course I still have to hit snooze a couple more times when the alarm does go off again.

Grins - I am a morning person - one of those people who gets up around 4am, gets the dogs fed etc and usually am on the hiking trails as the sun is rising

-- but I too hate to say god bye to a day. Its almost like I might miss out on something if I am away in dreamland. Silly I know, but each day just seems so filled with promise I want to keep them all going, but once 11 oc'clock to midnight hits, I consider the day to be done until I next wake up.

Ahhh, same here! When im in school or have work early my alarm is set a good hour before i actually need to get up so that i can hit snooze. Im DEFFINATLY a night person, not a morning person at all.
