I've been cracking up about this all day so I thought I'd share:

One of my sixth graders calls out during class today "I need to go take my Midol pill for my cramps." I responded that she knows she's not supposed to bring medicine to school and I have to take it from her. So she tells me "But I need them for my eye cramps!"

LOL, I have never heard of anyone taking midol for "eye cramps." But sure enough she pulls out a big ziploc bag filled with Midol.

Kids are so funny. Sometimes.

Who knows? I guess she just calls any kind of pain a cramp.

My question was if her mom actually gave her those pills or if she just knew her mom said that midol is for cramps so took it upon herself to get some from mom's stash. It's hard to believe a mom would send a kid to school with a bag full of Midol (especially for eye pain), but I've run across some pretty crazy parents.

but brandy works better than midol for that :-)
