I'm trying to bump them up....I'm looking through 60 pages here.... .....some of these new people that received nothing. Its not ONE particular post. I just think that if we want to keep something thriving we need to be welcoming and acknowlege people.

I totally agree. I was wondering if anyone was going to reply to my post and after two days I only got two -lol- but Im with you on that we should all support each other as fellow GR owners and lovers and share experiences and advice more often

I've been gone for 2 weeks. Who am I to judge I suppose. But man...it DOES make a person feel bad when their thread is ignored by the ENTIRE community.

I think we all can make an effort to avoid that...because it is the difference between a thriving community and a dwindling one.

Sometimes, when you've been here a very long time, new threads pop up with the same titles as old ones. I know that when I have seen one like that, I may not respond, thinking that either I have already, or it's not something that I have any input for. I don't reply to every thread and doubt that there is anyone who does.

My observation: Certain members' posts tend to get a lot more replies than do others'.

I always used to look at the last 50/100 posts and if it showed no replies to a certain post I would try to reply if only to bump it up but since the change a couple of months back it no longer shows number of replies to each post, admin was asked I believe if it could be changed but it wasn't possible (something to do with the upgrade I think)

I'm finding I'm sending a huge amount of time on this forum - so many interesting things to read and think about and reply to. Next thing I know I've used all my time in the evening or morningand I didn't do anything else. Stupid when one of my biggest complaints is I don't have enough time! LOL Sorry if you were ignored.

I've noticed a lot of posts regarding things that have been asked many many times before. I wish more people would use the search function at the top.

I usually reply if I have something to say that would be helpful to the original post, but only have a limited amount of time on the forum a day. I can't sit here and respond to every thread.

Thanks, Lucky's mom, for writing this, and thank you for replying to one of my posts about jumping on me while I am sitting, there were only two replies after many days and for me it was a difficult problem, still is but I have started crating him if he does it--the crate is just across the room. And I too have noticed that some folks get more replies than others but I attribute it to little groups within the big group. Oh, and I am an old lady not so familiar with all this forum stuff, what does bumping up mean?

I've had that problem with "some" of my post. Yeah, you kind of feel bad and wonder why no one took the time to respond. I think I have two or three that no one replied. I actually look for the 0 or 1 post and usually will respond to it, just so that person knows that I care. Thanks for bringing it up, Lucky's mom. Maybe others will take more time to look at the post and make sure there is at least a few replies.
