Today was starting off to be a really good day. I got ready for work quickly so thought I'd take Gunner for a short walk because I had about 20 minutes to kill. We started around the block and then BAM!!! I hit an uneven sidewalk and went flying. I scraped up both elbows and landed on my right shoulder. I had surgery on it two years ago. Both knees will probably bruise but no scrapes because I had on jeans. I was laying there on the ground with Gunner standing over me, kissing me on the cheek. Nothing feels broken but my shoulder scared me for a few hours. It's starting to loosen up so I don't think I will see a doctor or chiropractor. Hope everyone else has a better day than the start of mine....

Wow, with everything you have gone through with Gunner and now you falling my mom would have said that you need to get to a church and get blessed.

Yes, my shoulder is feeling better and the scrapes are not burning anymore. I think my whole body will be sore tomorrow. I went home at lunch to let Gunner out and my neighbor was in her yard. It was the house behind mine. I told her that I had fallen and she was going to call the city and complain. There is a city tree that is pushing up her sidewalk. She said she has complained before but nothing has happened. Now that I have fallen she thinks maybe they will do something. Good thing I'm not sue happy. Just glad I didn't break my teeth or any bones in my body. I might have thought about it then.....

Glad your feeling better, but it usually takes 24-48 hours before you really feel the full extent of any injuries you may have. Last winter I fell on my icy driveway 2x in the same week. I was really hurt and felt like an idiot.The next month we moved to Florida! LOL! So glad I don't have to deal with that anymore!

You were so right, Solas Golden. My shoulder is very sore today and I'm finding more bruises on my body. I think I will be o.k. just need to rest it. I did take Gunner for a walk last night but, boy, was I gun shy. I kind of walked looking down at the sidewalks. I actually saw lots of raised sidewalks to watch out for on our walks.

OUCH!! You are very lucky and I hope your shoulder is ok. Nothing worse then being sore from something like that. I can remember my sister doing that when she was young and knocking out her front teeth. Hope you are on the road to recovery and no further problems creep up.

Oh wow! Glad you were not hurt too bad. Hope the bruises and soreness go away quickly and you are feeling better. Things like that always seem to happen when we have a little extra time and try to do something nice!
