Not in my house! It's a Sterns and Foster Cushion Firm (without pillow top which wears faster) with innercoils and a separate topper from Costco that we can replace when it wears out. We can rotate the mattress every few months to let it wear in different spots too. We researched Select Comfort--I hated the pushiness of the salesperson and she lied to us. I hated the Temperpedic because it was burning hot during the test. We love the Sterns & Foster and so do the dogs!

Hubby and I needed to buy a new bed a year ago. The one we had purchased with our bedroom furniture was shot in 3 years! We were both not sleeping well and waking up stiff and cranky.

We ended up getting the Tempurpedic Grand Bed.

The mattress is very thick and weighs about a ton (ours is a king) You need a very sturdy frame for this bed. We had to exchange the original foundation for the low profile foundation because the whole bed set up on our frame was so high that I almost needed a step stool to get on it! They threw in two tempurpedic pillows, mattress cover, a nice sheet set and 2 bathrobes. It has a 20 year warrenty. It does feel firm when you first get in on a cool night and it can be a little hot on warm summer nights but nothing like the 2 inch memory foam mattress topper ($200 from LL Bean) I had purchased for our old bed to see if that would help before we decided to buy a new matress That was incredibly HOT! I couldn't stand it and we ended up giving it away. We are very happy with the Tempurpedic bed. We both sleep well now and wake up pain free! I also love that I can sit in bed and set my cup of tea next to me and it won't spill! My hubby gets up at 5:00 every morning and I don't even feel him get out of bed...if he didn't kiss me good-bye every morning I wouldn't even know he left for work!

We just went and did the testing and decided on the latex mattress with a memory foam topper. OMG was it nice. Just laying on my side I could feel the bed moulding into my hips and back. It is a totally different feel from anything I have ever slept on. felt like air!!!! It cost us $1600, but we got him to take $100 off and free delivery, setup and two latex pillows thrown in. Just have to wait until tomorrow for delivery because it is raining and blowing a gale here today (I hate Winter). One more night of uncomfortable sleep to go!!!
I never thought I would be excited about a new mattress but Now I can't wait! Thankyou for all your thoughts and suggestions, it helped a lot. I will let you all know how it goes!

We have had a soft side waterbed FOREVER! It has about had it and since I have RA and fibromyalgia , we have been thinking about Select Comfort but read a bunch of negative reports on their customer service if something goes wrong. We may look into Comfortaire or Land and Sky makes a SelectComfort type mattress also and they are local! Thanks everyone!

We love our Comfortaire and actually ordered it online from the manufacturer. They were able to provide us with a low profile box spring so we don't have the TALL bed problem (I'm short and I also didn't want the girls jumping off such a tall bed onto the wood floor). We were very pleased with the quality.... much better than the Sleep Number ( and no obnoxious salesperson). We did get the model that has the remote with numbers.

Well I have now slept on it for 5 nights now! My back is still sore, naturally because I seriously need some physio/ massage, however it is so comfortable, no rolling in and I can't even feel my Hubby roll over or toss and turn! I have not been waking up aching and needing to get up and move because of the pain in my back. I can actually lie in bed and be comfortable and not in pain!
I think we got a good buy and an excellent bed!. It is amazingly different but a great dreamy feel to it!.

Another convert to latex mattresses! I just LOVE mine and can't imagine ever having any other kind of mattress.

We have two latex mattresses - they are great! I have always invested in good mattresses and am super picky about them. IMO they are worth every penny.
