| Movie Maker comes with Windows XP.... But reading more on it, I think you have to find a program to convert it from the MVI file format. I found this site, with a few suggestions....: VideoHelp.com :: View topic - .MVI codec for TMPGenc? |

| I have a Canon IS3 which also takes video as well as photos. You can even snap a photo while filming and it will have the full 6 megapixel resolution. The video files are huge and I have to look into a way to make them smaller. My husband is vehemently against anything Microsoft (sort of hypocritical because we do use the Windows operating system - but not Internet explorer or Windows Media Player, or Microsoft Word (is that what it's called?)) I tried to upload a 4 minute video to YouTube and it didn't work because the file exceeded YouTube's limits. I have not downloaded the camera's software yet, so maybe there is some way there to change the format and shrink the file? Ant, which Canon camera do you have?

Personally, I use Windows Movie Maker, because it's free and gives you a ton of options for file types to save as, but you have to convert it from the MVI file type to AVI/MPEG/WMV before Movie Maker will recognize it... |

![]() I just double checked the link and it has to do with movies that are in .mvi, so perhaps that specific section of VideoHelp wouldnt help me....
