I know i am getting old, but i remember when we would get in the mail ,free calenders from business people, reason i was thinking of this,is hubby wanted a calendar that he could write his appointments down on.

We used to get those here at work - to the extent I never had to order desk calendars (those pads that go on your desk to write notes on) for our guys. Or even wall calendars (we'd get the big poster kind and the actual calendars).

Over the past 5-8 years or so, companies are just cutting back.

I know we are because essentially when we are cost cutting, the promotional purchases budget always gets cut. o_O

I want a "To Do List" - to remind me things I must attend and to do.... Calenders can help - where are they? I want them to be on the wall, on the desk and not inside the computer or phone... because I will never open them (I am old school), I see things then I remember to do.

I was noticing the same thing. When this January came, I was caught off guard and had to go buy one, when in previous years I had to throw them out, I had too many.

I used to have one of those big "desk calendars" (thank you USG). Before that, nothing.

Probably the economy, businesses just can't afford the freebies anymore. I get my calendars at Staples, they have some that have nice sized date squares for writing in appointments and notes. The paper is more ink-friendly, not the slick paper.
