womens jeans

The Ava jean by Citizens of Humanity is my favorite:

http://mobile.shopstyle.com/item/cit...nity+ava&min=4

They're just the right amount of stretch and the leg is straight. They are my dog jeans (for classes and training) and the MOST comfy. The rise is also not very low so you can bend down freely and not too high to make them seem "frumpy".

I am always on a quest for long length jeans of 36" inseam. That is hard to find, too. I just found out that Eddie Bauer now has tall 36" and I ecstatic!
My son has a 36" inseam. Every Christmas I buy him jeans on-line at Eddie Bauer.

I'm 62 and i like the Ann taylor straight leg jeans. But when I look at their on-line stuff, all I see are skinny jeans. These straight leg ones I bought last year in the store and they are perfect for me.
When you talk about the jeans we wore years ago, do you mean the ones we wore with those big socks when we were teenagers.

I know the jeans you are talking about (not over 50 however) but they were a "tapered" leg .... had a bit more room in the leg but narrowed at the ankle... very 80's in style... I haven't seen jeans like that around in years... You might want to try old Navy Dreamer style they have a straight leg thats pretty nice and not to pricey like some of the others mentioned here .... also Eddie Bauer does have nice jeans... I personally like Lucky Brand but they are pricey and am not sure they are what you want but take a look at Dreamers from Old Navy

try doing a search using "tapered" leg as your search term
I found these from Eddie Bauer

This is a conversation I just had with my mother. She is 58.

Mom: "I'm going to spend this 3 day weekend shopping for jeans."
Me: "You're going to shop for jeans for 3 days?"
Mom: "Yes! I would like for them to actually come up to my waist. I don't want them to be low wasted and my fat roll hang over the top. I don't want my butt crack to show when I bend over! I don't want glitter, stitching, embroidery, or anything on the back pockets to bring any attention to my rear-end. I don't want them to be so long I step on them when I walk and I don't want the legs to be so big at the bottom that I can't see my shoes."

She didn't find not even ONE PAIR!!! lol!

I figured I finally had it made (size & price wise) by buying in girls dept. I could find some without embroidery, "hello kitty", etc. Looked today, EVERYTHING skinny! and really skinny!
I'm most comfortable with straight/tapered leg, but need wider to wear boots/winter shoes.
