I know, but what I meant is that if you simply want to stay under the radar for the next 9 months or so before you schedule his neuter without neglecting his shots, you could simply go to that other vet that does not send your information to the city. You are just talking about 1 shot at 16 weeks. The booster wouldn't necessarily be done until after you've neutered him, so you can have that done at your regular vet.

I have a feeling hubby and I will be rolling our eyes at the Westmoreland offices of DAS when an employee lectures us on the importance of early spay and neuter, what bad owners we are to wait a bit, and responsible "breeding" practices.

Be sure to take a copy of all the literature why waiting is so important to leave with the lecturer if the above scene plays out.

Yeah, I have a feeling the lecturer will not be able to read, much less comprehend a well written article detailing the research... this is based on my conversations with employees in that department over the past two years!

I would be blasted, cause I am waiting until Coop is 2 before we neuter. Glad at least in my town he is registered, but nowhere did it say he had to be fixed. Think they just want my $10 per dog each year and I know I am only one in a handful who does at least this. Silly rules unless they can and will be enforced.

Frustrating.....I am glad we don't have that here. I can't imagine a city employee teaching me the responsibilities of pet ownership, but then I have a hard time with my city officials running my city.....
