Sending lots of prayers and good thoughts to you and your MIL/family. I hope you wee able to get her treated within the magic time period when they can administer TPA. We went through this 2.5 years ago with my FIL. His stroke was massive, but he survived, despite the odds given to us by the doctors at the hospital and later some nursing home "malpractice", but he never regained his ability to speak or walk. Despite that his new nursing home therapy team has worked wonders with him and he's now communicating with an ipad and special app developed for stroke victims.
