Zumba, anyone?

I start Zumba classes next week. I'm not sure what to expect.

I took dance lessons as a kid/teenager and used to help choreograph with the teacher but since then I've gained 75lbs haha.

My first class is on Mondays and it's Aqua Zumba! Somehow we're going to "dance" in the water.

The 2nd class is for beginners and it's just the normal class with some 1lb weights.

My mom is going to try it with me. I hope it doesn't kill her body haha.

I would do it if someone else would go with me. I figure misery loves company!

It always looks like fun.

It is nice your mom is going to do it with you.

I do what I like and like what I do. Yorkies- Cozy (4/1/06), Roxy & Zoey (2/11/08), Lucy (4/6/09); Golden- Buddy (4/13/09- Rescued 12/11) Maine Coon cats- Mika (1998) and Tallulah (2000)

I used to do zumba with a friend before we both started working full time. Its alot of fun! I really enjoyed it. Its a much more fun way to get exercise than running in my opinion. It can bit awkward at first, but i think after doing it a for a while you get over that.

Ive never heard of aqua zumba though. I would be interested to hear how that is. Have fun!

I have been trying to find a class that is convenient to my schedule. I have heard so many good things about it. Zumba in the water must be even better - I have done water aerobics, and that was fun, I normally hate aerobics classes.

Masala Bhangra sounds like an Indian cooking class rather than exercise. What is it?
