That is so sad, but hey, that's how we got Tayla only she was free. She was too much trouble for a co-worker of my husband and was getting into things (puppy!!). So we got her. Took a while, but she is becoming a great dog. Good luck.

I discussed this with my parents about the pup today and they weren't loving the idea. I got the "you can't save every dog in the world" lecture lol. They agree with me and think that 5 dogs within the immediate family is alot, however like I mentioned I dont live with them and they will respect my decision either way. I havent heard back from my friend about her co-worker yet. I hope the breeder was willing to take back the pup. If not I will likely take it.

You could always take the pup as a foster and try to find a different home for him!

I have Bonnie and Clyde, who are 12. Calvin is 3, and Skyler is 1. The last three months, I have been keeping my son's pitty mix who is 2, while he was working overseas. 5 is a lot of work, but I had them 24/7. I have had 7 here before for weekends, when my kids were out of town. It is doable, but we all know our own limits! Keep us posted!

wow!! that is a full house! I think 5 would be alot for our family but we could make it work. Especially since it would only be once a week that they would all be together. I would love to have a puppy, I just wish it was 2 years from now when I planned on getting one.

My last conversation with my friend's co-worker was almost a week ago. I told her that I would take the puppy if the breeder was unable to. She never called or texted me back. I am assuming that the puppy did go back to the breeder or maybe she had a change of heart and decided to keep him.

I'm disappointed. After the "to get the puppy or not get the puppy" debate I was getting excited about adopting a puppy! I even took out Chloe's old baby gates and puppy toys.

I'm starting to contact breeders about my future puppy. I may be a little early in my search but I have puppies on the brain now. Wish me luck on my search!!
