So here's another update-

So I quite randomly and just by luck found this Goldendoodle breeder who is not only going to GIVE me a puppy but is also going to help me fundraise AND find a vet who will do free or very low-cost work!

WOOT! I'm so excited!!

So at this point my puppy is just a star, not born yet, a planned litter. So I don't know when I'll get her besides it being sometime this year. But I can't wait!

Who wants to help with names?
She's going to have winnie the pooh as her theme.
My mum's "kennel" name is Merriments(the waggery division).
My "kennel" name is Abu Azmar(used to be the name of my grandmothers Afghan kennels)


other updates-

I love my new PsyD! I see her twice a week, and she's really helpful and very nice. We actually did "small chat" something I'm not very good at.

I miss my little pixie boy more then anything, life just isn't the same without him. he was my 1st dog and was very special to me, I cry nearly every-night still.

My mum got me a bearded dragon as a early Christmas gift, his name is Theoden(like king Theoden from lord of the rings) and he's really funny to watch and easy to care for.
He doesn't love back(except for his crickets) but he's really interesting.
He makes me laugh at least once a day, and I need all the laughs I can get

Still struggling with depression, an ongoing battle, some days nothing seems worth it. Taking meds that seem to be helping a little.
I see a new perscriber later this month, who coincidentally has a therapy dog and therapy dog in training, boxers I believe, and her practice is centered around Autism and her dogs. A right good fit for me I dare say! Could it be a better fit? I think not.

I'm also starting as a working student at a horse barn, something I'm excited and nervous/anxious about. It should be good for me.

I'll be doing that one-three times a week, then Mondays and Thursday's I see my PsyD as well as go to a NAMI support group and a NAMI art group(in that order)

So that's what's up with me.

That's amazing news!

I know that the "small chat" can be hard - it was hard for me to initially talk with my psych because I had never had a conversation that way before! But it does help loads, as do the meds.

Sounds like you have a ton to look forward to as well. Working with horses, getting ready for your puppy...I'm envious!

I'm not really any good at names, I'll let others chime in on that...perhaps Merriments Oh Bother! (After Pooh-Bear's favorite exclamation)?

congrats on your upcoming puppy .... you've been patiently waiting so long. I'm sure you'll think of the perfect name, maybe you'll have to meet the puppy first and a name will come to you

Merriment's a Roo. I'm no good at names, but that one came to me immediately so I thought I'd pass it along. I think Roo would be a cute call name too.

Anyways, I'm so glad you are doing well and things are going well. Sounds like your new doctor is wonderful. Keep your head up, the year will pass quickly. You'll have to post a picture of Theoden when you get a chance!
