| I can't wait to hear about how it went!! You should be done by now. I expect you're thinking more about getting to the airport than posting here... but I'll be looking for your update later!

| Finally made it home! I spent the night at my dad's last night since he lives close to the airport and I got in so late and so tired there was no way I could make the hour drive home. Anyway, I think it went really well! I wish I could have updated sooner but I've had limited internet access with traveling. I wasn't too nervous and I answered every question. They threw out two random questions about lyme disease due to my project- why is it called lyme disease and where did it originate. I knew why it was called that (first case was in lyme, Connecticut) but I didn't know where it originated from (europe). But I was honest that I didn't know so I don't think it was a bad thing. They asked me about my other research experiences, my large animal experiences, if I had any experience with horses (which is the one spot I am lacking in because I am really not a horse person) but I hope my large animal experience makes up for that (such as cattle and sheep). Plus I have plenty of small animal experience. I also told them about my vet tech program I am starting this month so that should be very exciting. And that is about all I can remember for now. My 15 minutes of fame. I took a tour afterwards and that was all I had time for since my interview was at 7:30 and then my flight was at 12:20 I had to go check out of my hotel and get to the airport. All in all, the little bit that I was there for and saw, I liked Columbia. I think it was a great experience and included lots of firsts for myself (first plane ride by myself, first taxi, etc. etc.) I definitely don't regret anything. They will be mailing out acceptance letters by Feb. 1- so I should now something around then. About 230 were interviewed for out of state, half of those are actually accepted and then only half of those will accept the invite. This is only for out of state, though. In the meantime I'm going to be anticipating my VT interview on January 25th! Plus I still have 4 schools I have yet to hear from. And thank you all for the support!!
