| This is what responsible breeders are doing now, trying to educate the public on the dangers of buying from a person who threw two dogs together, to make some money. A lot of people don't do their homework on buying a puppy from a breeder. They don't know about health clearances that need to be done, etc. We all start somewhere in dogs, whether we get a dog from a backyard breeder, or from a puppy mill. We learn from our mistakes, do our homework and research a bit more vigorously, and find the dog of our dreams. This is just what makes us human. I have learned so much with my first dog, I could write a novel on it.

My frustration comes from people purchasing puppies without fully understanding or committing to the idea of rasiing and having this puppy in their lives for the next 10-15 years and selling it as if it was an old peice of furniture when they get bored of it. This is a big problem. I appreciate that breeders are raising awareness about this issue. I just hope that people will realise the benefits of educating themselves before they purchase an animal. Do you think it might be possible that Kijiji and Craiglist could post a listing or type of notice that could inform viewers of key puppy buying? Like Do's and Dont's of puppy buying? or are you really ready for a puppy?
