We've already had confirmed cases of both A and B, plus a separate virus that is a horrible cough which is lasting 2 weeks or longer. Adding in the crazy weather which changes daily (a week ago it was 78, then snow for Christmas).

Tamiflu is in short supply this year, but makes a huge difference if started within 24 hours of the symptoms.

They are predicting a bad flu season this year because a smaller number of people got the flu shot.
Nope, I just seemed to have lots of flu-like symptoms, plus the first three days I ached so much I didn't want to go anywhere. It felt like a flu-cold, it felt more like a flu for two and half days and now it feels more like a cold.

Uggh, I hope you feel better soon! I got a flu shot but I know someone who is currently sick with the flu who also had a flu shot. It makes me nervous to go out!

The week after Thanksgiving my husband went to his Dr for his yearly physical (perfectly healthy) and 2 or 3 days later started not feeling well. He had cough, fever, body aches--so probably flu but when he first got sick, didn't go to the Dr (he said, the Dr office is where I caught it, why would I go back and catch something else?).
After coughing for 3 full weeks, last night his chest really started hurting so I made him an appt today. The Dr said sometimes after the flu, the cough will hang on like that, and gave him an inhaler. Let's hope it helps.

I'm on day 4 of a horrible cold! Today I finally feel better but still coughing, at least I can finally breath now though! I am hoping this cough goes away soon, but from what you all are saying it seems to be sticking around. Been having lots of tea, water, and soup. Although today I finally got my appetite back and had a cheeseburger and cookies
