Apps...ANGRY BIRDS! and Evernote. depends on what you want to do with it really. It's capable of so much, I use it more than my pc.

Also, set up Dropbox to automatically upload pics as you take them. That way your phone doesn't get full and the pics are always on your pc and in the cloud.

That angry birds --- I am so angry with that...

l am only SII - tell me more about the dropbox please?

Neither DH nor I even have cell phones (I have to carry one for work-so do use one that is very basic; he doesn't care to have one at all).

You are right about the expense thing: all this "contract" stuff can really add up-internet, TV, phone, Netflix, Onstar, sirius, etc etc. My son decided to get rid of his cable TV and internet because his smart phone did just about everything he needed via internet and he can get free movies from the library to watch on his TV.

Sorry. I just saw this. If DropBox isn't already on your phone (some Androids already have it pre-installed) go to the playstore and search "Dropbox" the real one looks like this And it's made by Dropbox, Inc. Install it then go into setting. Under 'camera uploads' give it permission to automatically upload pics from your phone to your dropbox acct.

Then go to http://db.tt/X872kNLy create an acct and install dropbox to your PC.

Now anytime you take a pic it will be stored 'in the cloud' (dropbox acct) and also you will see that little blue box icon down by the clock on your pc, anytime it uploads the pics to your acct it also adds them to dropbox on your pc. So you can click on the dropbox icon, click camera uploads, and you'll see all pics from your phone. Then you just drag and drop them to a folder in your picture file or wherever you want.

If this isn't clear don't hesitate to ask and I'll try to explain it better. A little hectic here at the moment. Or I'm always a PM away

EDIT: I forgot to mention, I ONLY use the free dropbox. You can pay for extra space but I think it's quite expensive. I take pics all the time on my phone and I transfer them to a folder on my PC so free has plenty of space, no need to pay.

Here are my Go To Apps:

1. Audiobook Lite - so I can listen to audiobooks I borrow from the library in the mornings when I walk Toby.

2. Jog Tracker (pro)- keep track of my mileage and pace- the pro part was free thanks to Amazon App of the Day.

3. Amazon App Store- they have a free app of the day and I've gotten a lot of premium utility apps just by checking daily, plus they offer premium games.

4. Evernote.

5. Yahoo Mail.

6. Gmail

7. Calendar (which I sync with my Gmail calendar)

8. Direct Tv

9. Task Killer (to free up memory)

10. ES File Explorer so I can move files from my computer to my phone (music photos, videos, etc).

11. Weatherbug Elite Pro (free as App of the Day on Amazon)

12. Soundhound Pro (free as App of the day on Amazon).

Hubby and I were talking about the Galaxy SIII- and my 2 year commitment on my HTC EVO 4G is up in a couple of months. It's been a fantastic phone, but I'm going to make the switch to Samsung because it will be able to communicate with my Galaxy Note tablet, Galaxy Tab tablets (10 and 7 inch), my Galaxy Player, our Samsung TV, our Samsung DVD player and most likely our dishwasher..
