| The Imposter Bride by Nancy Richler. Shortlisted for the Giller. I got sucked in reading the first few pages excerpted in Maclean's magazine. It's good - I'm about a third into it.

| I've had it for a long time, finally getting the time to read over semester break. I've heard great things about it, but it made me cry in the first few pages already! |

| Box is really good. Have you read the Nevada Barr books? Her main character is a NPS ranger. Dana Stabenow has written some good ones too, Alaska based. If you like Susan Conant, you'll probably enjoy Laurien Berenson - also dog related mysteries. She shows standard poodles. I think she's a better writer than Conant. Another good dog mystery writer is Linda Benjamin, whose main character is assisted by her APB. |

| My husband is reading the first outlander book .... he said its a chick book but he is reading it... ok.... I am reading a couple... I read Daughter of Smoke and Ash which I really enjoyed and waited for the second book to come out and I am now slogging through Days of Blood and Starlight which honestly I doubt I will finish... the first book kept my attention and I enjoyed... the second I am bored to tears with and doubt I will finish... I am enjoying "The Path of Druidry: Walking the ancient green way" being the treehugging earth worshipper that I am, it is an interesting book focused on practice... I also just finished "Hounded" which I enjoyed and one of the main characters is Oberon an Irish Wolfhound.... I am moving onto "Hexed" I enjoyed the first one and it was light reading... this is a good thread... its always nice to see what others are reading as I am always looking for something new...

| I am reading a Midnight Clear from the Miracles of Marble Cove series by Guideposts. Gotta love those ladies! They keep me cheered up and I feel like I am really there in the story. It takes place in Maine. I have never been there in real life though. Oh sorry, the rating I give is a 4.
