Feeling a bit out of sorts... Have had a cold for several weeks which has put a bit dent in my Xmas arrangements. Last night I just felt awful and I decided Id probably caught something new. Went to the doctor this a.m. and he agreed I'd been sick too long and had probably developed a bacterial infection. So I'm taking some antibiotics and hoping they work.

I can live with the messy house and unmailed Xmas cards, but do need to complete Xmas shopping. Ive put my family on notice that this year there will be gift cards, not personally selected presents, given out.

My biggest issue is my daughter who wants to go shopping and the three dogs who don't understand why they're not getting out to play. It's been good for Bella--she needed to stay quiet because of her spay on Monday, but poor Tucker.

Don't want to be a downer for anyone's holidays, but if you have good thoughts to spare...send them my way! I really hope the medicine does the job. I want to have some fun!

Kathleen I hope the meds start working soon and you can feel like getting out some. My christmas isn't going the way it was planned either. I fell on Sunday and on crutches and just can't make it that 6 hours to my sisters, so DH and I are going to the farm instead. Great to get out of town, but missing my family already. Oh well, gonna keep on singing Christmas songs and enjoy the time away from work.

Ya know, I think you and many others have way more hurdles to get past for the holidays! I felt kind of silly even complaining... just needed to get it off my chest.

I do think the medicine is working--I feel better already. And that's after a loooong trek to the mall with my daughter.

Came back to say ... things are greatly improved! The medicine began working very quickly. I guess I really did have a touch of pneumonia. I'm still tired but we are having a good time. The tree is decorated from the middle up (keeps ornaments out of reach of dogs ) and when the dogs have gone by the tree, their tails have knocked the lights a bit so they are all askew, but it's still beautiful and I'm fine with it!

We went out shopping a couple times and I think we're done. The mall was soooo crowded last night. But, as we rode up in the elevator, Santa looked up and waved at me! Silly how good that made me feel.

We baked some cookies yesterday and if I have enough energy, we'll bake some more today. Yesterday we had a downpour rain almost all day, but today the sun is out. I think Bella is ready to romp, so we are going to the dog park later.
