| Anyone ever been sick on Christmas? It appears this year I will be sick on Christmas again . Two years ago I was nailed with a cold on my birthday then got it again for Christmas two months later. Woke up Sunday feeling like a truck hit me my muscles were killing me, I was nauseous, my head felt heavy and my throat was killing me. Then later that night I got a fever (that is gone now I believe thanks to some drugs). Ugh, I hate being sick my poor dog hasnt been out much yesterday or today. I hope im better by Saturday because I have 4 hours of driving to do . Still no cough yet or runny nose. No idea if this is a cold or flu im dealing with. |

| Body aches, fever....sounds like the flu. From what the hospital is telling me it is really bad this year. I was told that because I refused the flu shot. I'm sensitive to eggs, so don't do it, but because it's not a full blown allergy they laid into me pretty hard... Anywho to get back to your original question. YES I have been sick on Christmas, but only once. It was horrible and I hope to never repeat that again. I didn't even get out of bed to open gifts. My kids still had a great time, I guess that is what mattered..lol |

| I've woken up Christmas morning to my period Thanks mother nature ! I don't think I've ever had any major illness on Christmas. Over the weekend I felt pretty crappy, I'm hoping I can fight it off until after the 25th!

Every year we are bombarded with the media telling us what a bad year it is/going to be for the flu. Remember the H1N1? I can honestly say I didn't know one person that actually had it. |

| Yes, I was sick for Christmas about 15 years ago. My parents had just moved 60 miles away, so I was in denial being sick, and my now husband and I took the trip to visit. I just wanted to sleep the whole time I was there, I tried to act excited for everybody, but it was terrible - see I still remember it like it was yesterday. Sleep I believe is the best medicine, try to get it at the earlier symptoms. I find if I try fighting a sickness, it lasts longer. Hopefully you will be better by next week.

| My mom used to make me get the flu shots every year because I'm supposedly immuno compromised due to my asthma. I would always get sick right after the shot, so as an adult - I don't get them. I am actually fighting an infection right now. I've had it for about 10 days and it really whipped my butt. No fever (I rarely run one), but it started with a scratchy throat, and sinus pressure (no stuffy or running nose). Now we're up to nasty mucus, extensive coughing, no voice and puking up most meals (because I'm coughing so hard). I'm hoping i'll be all better by Christmas.
