This is a picture of my brothers Setter puppy way back when..I just happened to come across it and thought it might be fun to share. The puppy is solid clay bone and all but it didn't stop Bob from trying to share it.

Aw..so cute! He is with his friend and sharing his bone! I raised/showed Irish setters for years and still have much love for the Irish/English/Gordon setters.

I couldn't agree more...they're a special breed...I'd probably have stayed with Setters if I could have got them to stay in one place while out fishing but that's just not in their make up.

I miss the unique beauty of the Irish, but my husband waited his whole life for a Golden Retriever and now I am busy beginning Novice Agility with my 3 year old Papillon. I have to say that the setters still take my breath away when I see them. They do love to fish. Your location is amazingly beautiful. I added a pic of my last Irish bitch, Brooke, my husband and his GR love, Amber, and my Papillon, Piper. Vicki

These Setters really are great dogs but they need lots of exercise and tons of attention like another breed I know.

Weird but many years ago as a child I knew people who had setters, but since then I haven't seen a one. Haven't seen one in the Dallas area either. Wonder why? They are such beautiful dogs and the ones in my neighborhood were sweethearts.
