Your "Ode to a 6 ft dog" video is hilarious!!! Everyone on my Dane board always tells about their "DRIs"...Dane Related Injuries. This video reminded me of that. Have you had any WRIs yet?

OH she has nailed me a few times mostly in the jaw with the top of her head... more the problem is that lately she has decided that jumping up on me is the way she needs to greet me and I often find that I am heading to the University and my students will point out the pawprints on my shoulders....

why is this always the first thing people ask....

the reality is that it doesn't matter how long a dog lives, it is never long enough and for me I would rather live with a wolfhound than any other breed and once a person has a wolfhound they will feel the same... this breed is very different from any dog or breed I have ever had... it is not something that can be explained.. the wolfhound people told me and I was like yeah sure thats what everyone says about their breed of choice... but now that I have wolfhounds... I will always have wolfhounds

I wasn't aware that it is the first question "everyone" asks. Thought it was a legit question. No sweat I can google.

Celtics need a center.
Beautiful dogs. That wolfhound is something else.

Shalva:

Sorry to go offtopic, but I was looking at your page and saw that your Flat coated retriever was named Shalva! She's so adorable! I love the black coats on the flat coated retrievers, they're so awesome!

It's a legitimate question, but it's one that, if you think about it, is kind of off-putting at the same time. When you have a giant breed dog, you get used to all the questions/comments and know that you'll hear the same ones over and over and over. But that specific question is one that I never got used to. When you hear it, it just hits you right in the gut.

No dog lives long enough.
