I have never had a hard time with the boys milestones....but the second half of senior year was really tough for me....they were out of their skin ready to be off on their next adventures away from home....and all I could think is how quiet the house would be without the firstborn bouncing off the walls...and then with our youngest...
Must say I love it when they are back home....

Yesterday was my babies 14th birthday.Today I watched her hug her first boyfriend goodbye(Haven't killed him yet he seems to respect her)Each year my first thought on her birthday is when I changed her first diaper in the hospital & wonder where the time has gone.When Barb drove 3 1/2 hours to be with us on Andies birthday she said she had to do it (She's driving back now)she reminded me there are very few left that will include us at all.I know where your comming from

I know how you feel...I am also a single Mom...my kids are now 27 & 23, both living in GA where they grew up, I love in FL...LONG STORY, but I miss them every day..my daughter is married and my son is engaged, both have great careers...my daughter is a PICU nurse and my son is an attorney. I wish I could start all over...time goes way to fast! I never would tell them that I wish I could start again...we raise them to be able to live on their own, but it's sure hard for us....isn't it? Enjoy every "last" you have with your daughter and also look forward to the future...when she succeeds in life give yourself a pat on the back...because you did your job!
