I love the cozy look of your cabin with the fire and Woody....soooooo welcoming!!

I could not resist posting Christmas from a few years back when I was trying to get my 2 goldens and my sons dog to pose in front of the tree with just a littleassistance. It was NOT easy and the pics don't even do it justice but this is the basic "slimmed down" sequence of events.....

The boys being silly and licky faced......the girl being a planted log that would not move or open eyes.

Finally, one UP, one DOWN "is this how you want me?" and one still planted but loosening up a little....

Finished product....take the shot fast because they will be exploding any second!!!

No tree yet this year but that little one is mighty cute!!

My daughter and I make an annual movie of Christmas time, the grand kids love looking back at Christmas' past.
This years centers around the ridiculous gift request of my 37 yr old son (an iron) so the video will be lighthearted. He won't get home this year. It includes a shot of each person and dog thinking about what they'd like for a gift. Of course the grand kids, daughter and her husband are dreaming of exotic things while my son dreams of a silly iron (never ironed a day in his life). Here are the dogs and what they are wishing for:

Parker the thieving counter surfer:

Ty who is madly in love with his sister Tilley:

And Tilley who has ideas of her own (pretty good ones too) I love her smug little expression!

No tree yet, maybe next weekend but we did put up our outside lights and inside decorations. Jess and I are planning to do pics in front of the fireplace tomorrow.

Here's ours! It's our first tree together and also our first Christmas in our own home, it's been a big year for us! Now if I could just find a ring under that tree...LOL! In case you can't see them, the tree has about a dozen bobbers on it. Oh, life with a fisherman

What a great sequence...something so many of us have been through...trying to get the perfect picture with uncooperative subjects...only you pulled it off! Great shots...I'm still smiling.

Another BIG SMILE...those are great...It looks like you know exactly what your dogs are thinking. Poor guys...reading their minds like that...do they ever get away with anything?

What do you mean "Oh, life with a fisherman"? Bobbers will dress up any tree...I know as I've decorated many a tree stream side with my flies.

Sounds like a great first Christmas together...the perfect time for a ring.

Haha I think the bobbers look great on a tree, too! And I definitely do love life with my fisherman, we are having freshly caught rockfish for dinner tomorrow night. Can't complain about that at all!

We went and cut our tree this afternoon. This the first time in 15 yrs. we haven't had an artificial tree. Much more manageable than our usual 9 footer.
