Sonny, the black lab, ran ahead to make sure there were no gophers or jackrabbits in the way. If you don't give a dog a specific job, he'll improvise one for himself and it will invariably be fun. There's a lesson there.

These photos are just lovely, and got me into a proper Christmas mood. Danny, you cracked me up!
Unfortunately, things are not quite so organized this end. Toby and I just returned from our long trip late last night, and I have done nothing, absolutely nothing in preparation for Christmas. No baking, no decorating, no tree, not even much shopping (although we're not about the gifts here). Sigh. I foresee some hectic weeks ahead.

Here are two pics of the upstairs/downstairs tree from last year. Below is the reason we dont have a basement tree this year...well only had one up for 30 minutes.

This was this years basement tree. Put it up and told my sister to watch it and obviously she failed because Cynder the kitten decided to chew right threw the wiring leading to the wall outlet. Sigh, so we took it down. Wasnt going to battle with it this year maybe next year his chewing habit will of stopped.


We just put the upstairs tree up last night theres no decorations on it yet will upload that one at a later date. Cats arent allowed to leave the basement apartment so there will be no wire chewing on the upstairs tree!
