New home!

My husband and I finally got our keys to our new home in Murphy Canyon here in San Diego!! We moved in yesterday. It's HUGE for just the two of us (3 bed, 2.5 bath with a little backyard) and such a change from the apartments we're used to. The dogs love it too, they can do laps in a backyard now instead of around a couch, and they even have their own tree to sniff And I'm grateful for the laminate flooring throughout most of the first floor!

Here's the floorplan; it doesn't show the backyard, unfortunately:

So exciting!! I've actually been over to the Murphy Canyon housing a bunch of times to friend's houses.. my husband was in the Navy for over 10 years and went inactive reserves last year. Are you new to San Diego completely or just moving from somewhere else in the city?

missmarstar, my husband and I just came from Okinawa. I'm from Northern California, so I'm not super familiar with the area. We were in a month-to-month apartment in Imperial Beach for about a month and a half before we got in to our home.

Wow, miltary housing has come a long way!

I just met someone a couple weeks ago who moved here from San Diego military housing last year. I think her husband is in the Marines. She said she missed living there so much, and they had beautiful views.

Wee!! We're in the same neck of the woods!!! I live over in El Cajon, California (East County San Diego).

Playdate?

The house is lovely!!!!! Congrats! We just got our house about 3 months ago. It is by far infinetly better than apartment living, IMHO.

Congrats on getting into a house. I so much prefer having a house (no one over head o underneath) and a yard.

@cubby, the housing here was a serious culture shock! Okinawa's lodging is...well, let's just say not as nice and leave it at that

@bear, sure, send me a PM, I wouldn't mind going a little north to see your boy. Buddy's one and he's big, though, as a warning.
