I just found out on Thursday that I am going to be a Grandma...I have such mixed feelings, mostly excitement but also OMG I'm to young to be someones Grandma...I don't feel Grandmaish...lol...

I know what you're saying though, a lot of my firends are becoming GP. My son will be 25 next month, has too many things on his list he wants to do and accomplish before he settles down. I'm OK with that because I'm not ready to be a GM yet.

Congratulations! My mother always says that it is unbelievable the love a grandmother has for their children.

I always think the reason why woman are pregnant for 9 months is that it gives us enough time to get ready and used to the idea.

There's another side to becoming a GP while you're young, you'll really be able to enjoy them.

I didn't have my son until I was in my early 30's, since he's 25 and no where ready to settle down let alone start a family, I'll probably be in my late 60's before it happens.
I just hope I can keep up with grandchildren when the time comes.

I have three they are 21-25 in age...I will be 46 when this little one comes...I started early..lol! I think it's the concept of being someones Grandma. I mean my kids were just babies...yesterday....!

My grandparents seemed really old so it seems like I should feel old myself before I become a grandparent. My kids are 23, 28 and 32 and I am 60, but since I don't feel the least bit old, I am glad they aren't having kids yet (none is married).

I was still in my 30s when my step-daughter introduced me to her daughter, making me a GM. We were not close and I have not seen the little girl again, which is a subject of some grief. More so is the fact that my own daughter has chosen not to have children. I would dearly love to be a Grandma, with all that the role entails.

Congratulations! My only child is 26 and she gave me my first granddaughter on April 5th. She was born exactly one week before Vinnie. It's the greatest thing ever!

I think it would be cool to have a younger grandmother. Both my grandmothers wore babushkas and were always saying the rosary.

I became a grandmother at 52, grandmas come in all ages, shapes & sizes. DH & I spend a lot of time with our granddaughter, she helps keep us young!
