| People who get dogs, don't put any time or effort into them when they are puppies, then keep them outside in -15 degree weather because they aren't house-trained as adults and are no longer 'cute'. So dogs are then left outside in the backyard all day, barking non-stop because of pent-up energy, trying to fence-fight with Ranger who is now no longer allowed in a whole area of the yard. Oh and owners can't take the dog for walks because they never taught the dog to walk on a leash and the dog pulls. No kidding. (And for those wondering, I went over to these geniuses' house today at 7am to tell them to let their dog in since he'd been barking non-stop since 6am...no one was home. They'd gone to work and left their dog out in -15 C weather. Animal by-law came but didn't do anything - shocker.) I hate when people's stupidness/ignorance/laziness makes a dog's life miserable. And then I have to watch it and can't do anything about it. I hate feeling helpless. |

| I do NOT like it when owners of small, under socialized dogs suffering from small dog syndrome take their dogs to any place that will have many dogs. Seriously, if your dog lunges and yaps their head off and terrorizes every single dog they see, don't take them to parks!!! NOW you want to take them out and let them hang out with other dogs? I had to dog sit one of these dogs. It was embarrassing but I did try to keep him away from other dogs. People who don't pick up poop. People who let their dogs run up to mine and say "oh he's friendly" who turns out not to be. Usually these are small dogs. Okay I no longer take Molly to dog parks. But when I did, it was so she could swim. Now we swim "illegally" in a non off leash area but at least I don't have to deal with off leash dogs. But anyway, whenever I throw a ball or bumper into the water, Molly will not swim back until she gets that ball. When she was starting out she wasn't very fast, and sometimes these other dogs would get to the ball first and take it. Poor Molly swims around looking for the ball that is now gone. Once or twice is fine, but the owner has to DO something about it when their dog repeatedly does this. What's worse is that most of the time these dogs don't have their own toys. Seriously?!?! Who goes to the dog park without toys so their dog could steal everyone else's?? I had to bring two water toys because if one was stolen I had to throw another one or Molly would be swimming for days. She will also never take something from another dog, even if it is her own toy. Okay, I'm not going to let this ruin my thanksgiving. |

| people that let their dogs off their leash and have NO control over them being a 'young' dog owner people feel the need to tell me how to train my dog. i especially hate that when people tell me how "wrong" my positive training methods are. grrr.

| Oh my goodness, people telling me how to train my dog! I'm still new to this game, I'm still learning, but let me learn on my own, yeah? Or worse, people who automatically assume I'm a bad dog owner because my boys still have some bad habits I'm breaking. I have an addendum to the choir of "strangers petting my dog": both my boys are currently in a Petco class and last lesson I had a bunch of little kids running up to them and petting/playing with them while I was in the lesson. Okay, little kids, they don't know better...but then there were the older ladies who went crazy over Buddy's handsome face and decided to run up and get him excited and jumping because they wanted to pet him. I get it, my dog's gorgeous, but seriously?!

| I had to deal with so much illegal scrap giving to Bentley yesterday it drove me nuts I didnt want to be rude because it was all done by family members but im trying to train him not to beg & certain family members are getting better at not feeding dogs, but then this happened! Grrr. I wish people would be more considerate, but I guess since they didnt know it was going to bother me they didnt think it would be a big deal.

| The treat giving burns me, too, because my dog is allergic to chicken. One treat with chicken in it and I've got Mr. Itchy. I speak up now if I even see someone looking like they're planing to reach for a treat!

The next morning, we woke to find that the poor dog had diarrhea all over the floor by the front door. Of course, none of the people who had fed the dog all that rich food helped clean up the mess (they just thought the guy should clean it up). I was astonished that none of them realized they were responsible for what happened too. |
