| I think you should have to take a class before you are allowed to walk a dog on a flexi leash ... those things drive me nuts especially in the vets office... and hey no I don't want to visit your dog at the vet... we are at the VET for petes sake....

| When our neighbor with a Pemrboke Welsh Corgi walks his dog and lets it poop in our yard... and doesn't pick it up. :-/ |

| My biggest pet peeve is when people don't abide my my dog training rules .. Inviting the dog up onto the couch while company is here, feeding tidbits from their dinner plate, etc., really frosts me. But my biggest peeve is people who try to train my dogs or teach me how to do it, to wit, my wonderful sister who is a fan of Cesar Milan. She tries to Cesar my dogs when she's here, even though I've: specifically asked her NOT to, and told her exactly what issues we're dealing with and how, and what I want everyone to do for certain behaviors (e.g., jumping--turn back on dog and ignore it. She walks up to the dog, stares it down, etc.). Grrrr. What I am thankful for: the really nice people and dogs at our two fave dog parks. There are not nice ones, but the vast majority are great. I am also thankful for the supportive, helpful people on here. I've learned a lot on GRF! |

| Most of mine have been mentioned. People who treat their dogs like humans, dogs who jump on me and dogs on flexi's with owners that have no control. I will add, people who let their dogs jump in my dog's face, after being told that she does not like it, usually these are dogs on flexis and with owners that think it does not apply to their dog because he just wants to say "hi". |

| Hmm, I guess mine would be people who get a dog and make no effort to train it, thus creating all the afore-mentioned problems, then labelling the poor thing as a "bad dog". Jumping up and other behaviours do not really bother me if it is obvious that the owners are working to correct it.

| I know mine is weird, but I do not like walking in a house and it smells like wet dog or worse pee! I know that is being pretty ocd, but I can not stand it. Most of the time it is a house with small dogs and the dogs are older and still not house broke!! Kills me how people can just let their 4 or 5 year old dog just keep peeing in the house!! Disguisting. And they do not think anything about it.

![]() I just have one main pet peeve about other dog owners, and that is not picking up poop on the trail. In winter, one place I go has snow that looks like chocolate chip ice cream. Yuck! |

My other peeve is dog clothing, sure a funny hat for a birthday pics is o.k. And even a t-shirt sometimes. But people who dress their dogs up with the works (shirts, pants, shoes, jewelry, etc) just bugs me. I am thankful for the people who ask before if they or their dogs can meet me and my Sandy. And I really like it when they teach their children to do the same. Sent from my iPhone using Petguide.com Free App |

| People not picking up after their dog is my biggest gripe, because I see it every day in our neighborhood. We have a common area, a long grassy strip about 1/2 mile long. Because nobody owns it--it's along a stream so undevelopable-- people treat it like the neighborhood dump, tossing trash out their car windows, letting their dogs poop, and dumping lawn clippings on it. But that is our walk area, which means I really don't appreciate having it become a mine field, especially at night. What I appreciate are the kind neighbors who so carefully mow the strip so we can all walk our dogs there. But there are a couple of really inconsiderate people who don't bother to scoop - ever. |
