I buy "mickey mouse boots" from Joe's Army/Navy (they're called that because the toe part is rounded) my feet never get cold at -30F. Hat with ear flaps, good gloves, long johns under jeans.

Here's what the boots look like, mine are white

I posted a smiliar thread a few years ago. I do NOT like cold weather!

The recommendation for long johns was for UnderArmor. I found some at Marshall's at a pretty good price and they are wonderful. I had to buy men's since I couldn't find womens's but they sure are toasty.

I just bought some lovely wool socks at a Sports Advantage( I think that is the name - I'll check for you) and they are also wonderful!!!!!!!!!!!

Cuddl Duds fleece long johns are great, but probably too bulky for wearing under clothes. I sleep in mine.

Stay warm my friend! I refuse to move any further north than I am right now.

I'll be doing some shopping next week at the discount places. What size do you wear? Do you need pants too?

We live in MI. I usually wear jeans with a pair of knee-high ski socks underneath. I don't do wool socks, just because I can't stand the feel. But I haev some great synthetic extra padded ski socks. My North Face winter boots...they are so light weight and soft they feel like slippers, but keep my feet super-warm. A thigh-length down jacket with a hood or my ski jacket. And if it's really cold, I'll layer a fleece under the jacket. Hat and gloves and good to go. Oh....Turtlefur neck warmers are always nice, too.

I wear wool; socks, gloves, hat, sweater. Down winter coat for the really cold days. My left hip is not doing me favors with the cold in the past few years.
