My town celebrated Veteran's Day yesterday and it was wonderful. Free food, drinks, entertainment, etc. Even a house given free to a wounded warrier. Of course, we are a military town, so it tends to go all out for our military. I want to personally thank all who serve and all who support them.

Yesterday was also the 20th birthday of one of my sons. Zander was born with mulitple severe congenital heart defects. He had a ten percent chance of surviving his first open heart surgery as a infant. The hospital and doctors call him their 'miracle' boy.

A rainy day today, a good day to get things done inside.

Happy Veteran's Day to all our Vets, Active Duty Military, and their families.
Thank you all for your service and sacrafice to our Country.

My DH is a Viet Nam Vet and a Purple Heart Recipient.

A special thank you to the 26th M.E.U. from M.C. Base Camp Lejeune- Jacksonville, NC who are helping the residents and community of Staten Island, NY recover from Hurricane Sandy.

Know I am late, but from the bottom of my heart I wanted to Thank our Military, past and present. Your help allows us the freedoms we take for granted. DH and I try not to forget and include you in our daily prayers.

So grateful for all the Service men and women, past and present, who make the USA so great. The sacrifices made by our soldiers and their families are beyond measure. I am truly grateful each and every day.
