| Congratulations. I am not sure about Aperture or Lightroom, I use iPhoto still. However, if you need any help, I can tell you that I have always gotten effective help from Apple phone support. Also, the online support forums can be helpful. |

| I have a Mac and I use Lightroom. I have not read about/heard of a good enough reason to use Aperture instead. I REALLY want the new MacBook Pro with retina display! |

| I have all Apple products now too, computer, laptop, Ipad, Iphone and I love them. Especially how they all sync together. It seemed a little confusing at first coming from windows but it really is so easy once you get the hang of it. I use Photoshop so I don't know anything about Aperture or Lightroom, though I have heard good things about Lightroom and I "think" I've heard good things about Aperture too so I am no help at all there. Sometimes I do get confused and try to tap the screen on the laptop after using Ipad and think why is this thing not responding??!! But can't blame that on Apple!

I think I'm going to stay with Lightroom as I already have it on the PC and it will be one less thing to learn. ![]() Pete

| [QUOTE=FeatherRiverSam;1839604]I've got a ways to go...there's no question about that...and it's quite a bit different from the iPad which I found very easy to use. I'm still trying to figure out how to do the simple things like copy & paste? Congratulations! Mac here--all the way! I do have to use Windows for embroidery programs, so I run Parallels and then can use Windows or Mac at the same time. We are getting a new 27" iMac when available in December. It will join 2 other iMacs and a MacBook and 2 iPads and an iPhone and several iPods To copy and paste easily--just highlight the word/object and hold "command" and "c" (to copy) and then "command" and "v" to paste the item. Easy! Kathie

| Mac I made the switch about two years ago. I LOVE MAC and 'won't go back'. There are tons of video lessons you can pull up. I use Aperture but I know the 'pros' in my photo club like lightroom better. I had been using elements but since I do tons of scrapbooks I use the Aperture for that. Have fun.
