| I switched to mac about 2 years ago and still having problems managing files, love the macs but not as simple as they make out, and i've got an imac, a macbook pro, ipad, and iPhone........... so frustrating you can't do a simple task like delete a photo after you've had to synch with effing iTunes just to get them on an iPad, oh and I also use aperture which is great until you want to simply back-up files .......... grrrrrrrrrr I've obviously still not grips with macs

| I have an iPad, iPod and iPhone and am looking at getting an iMac to replace my current desktop computer. Is it going to be difficult to transfer all of my data and pictures from my current computer to an iMac????

| We switched to Mac a couple years ago, and I've been very happy. I use the iCloud to synch things so it doesn't matter how I update my calendar, it shows up on all devices.. It didn't take me too long to adjust to the differences with PC. I mostly use iPhoto to edit pictures--not very exciting but does the job. We do have photoshop on the computer, which is what my DD uses. We got it for her photog class and she loves it. |

| When I made the switch, Apple did that for me for $100, which included a one-year membership in a club of sorts where you can take free tutorials on different software, get help with projects, etc. It was money well spent. |

Davebeech you're the first one I've heard any hesitation from...I sure hope it doesn't take two years to get this under hand. Now if I had kids there'd be no problem...a three year old could probably have me up and running in no time. ![]() Pete

| also wanted to say the online information is very good...Apple has a very dedicated fan base. If I need to know how to do something, I pull up google and and type "how to (do whatever--copy and paste, etc.) on Mac", and a list of stuff pops up. Works very well. |

![]() Apple has Black Friday sales but the discounts are not very substantial. I think it's 5% off MacBooks and up to 10% off on other products. Best Buy offers better deals on MacBooks but I am not sure if the retina display MacBook pros will be on sale there and it may be on a limited supply. I am not desperate enough to camp out for it. |
