Talking Raw type food for cats

I am thinking of giving my cats specifically, 14 year old Maine Coon Mika, a more raw based diet.

Since it is a cat I am asking about I did not put it into the nutrition or raw section. But if an admin. feels this is better off their please move

They are currently eating FROMM Salmon a la Veg kibble available 24/7 for the 2 cats and THK Prowl once daily as a treat normally. Turkey and her do not get along for an extended period of time. Mika has always been a wet food junky. The last 1-2 months Mika has been getting much more vocal about getting her wet food so she has been getting it at least twice a day and have become a counter/table surfer which she has never been before. She will still nibble on the kibble but wants wet food all the time . And I want to make her the happiest she can be. Tallulah the other cat does not do well on a large amount of wet food daily- She ends up with bathroom issues and has very long hair

She is healthy other than some arthritis- Now getting Vit E and Fish Oil daily.

Does anyone have any great recommendations for raw or dehydrated type cat foods? I would prefer to give her more fish since she has become so full of herself since I started to give her fish oil daily. She would eat canned tuna, cod, salmon, chicken, etc raw everyday but I want her to get a balanced diet and me making it daily for her daily is not an option for me.

Grandma Lucy's is definatley one I am looking into I just wish it was available in more than 3 pounds at a time. https://www.grandmalucys.com/retail/...&cat=14&page=1

Just looking for more options for her!

So sorry for the length. I just got power back today sort of- Parents house has power but I still don't.

Thanks all.

I do what I like and like what I do. Yorkies- Cozy (4/1/06), Roxy & Zoey (2/11/08), Lucy (4/6/09); Golden- Buddy (4/13/09- Rescued 12/11) Maine Coon cats- Mika (1998) and Tallulah (2000)

We feed Grandma Lucy's to Tayla and she loves it. Never looked at the cat variety, but I know the 10 lb. bag feeds Tayla much longer than I thought it would. Maybe it's that way for the cat size.

this is a site with some good info. Feeding Your Cat: Know the Basics of Feline Nutrition :: healthy cat diet, making cat food, litter box, cat food, cat nutrition, cat urinary tract health
I've quit feeding raw, but I used to make them the recipe she uses on that site.

Feline's pride is supposed to be really good as is rad cat. My cats liked both of them.
My cats didn't really like natures variety.

Also, TC feline is pretty good, but uses boneless meat. I always preferred real bone.

I am looking at raw type because she is now actually reaching on to the stove to grab food cooking in a fry pan- Not Safe! I figure maybe she is trying to tell me something!

I will continue to leave the kibble out too since Tallulah really can't tolerate wet type food so Mika will have to by herself and then let back out with the other furbutts a least twice a day.

Right now when I make her THK it is soupy 1 cup to 1.5 cups of water generally. She likes it that way best

I know Nature's Variety buys some things (rabbit it think from China). With the whole Zoey poisoning my China made pet treats I try to avoid companies that buy food or ingredients from China.

Will look into Feline's Pride though. Thanks

Contrary to general belief, I read that cats should not have fish more than 2 - 3 times a day. Just an FYI
I had a cat that had diabetes and I did alot of research on feeding back then.

It only takes one person to throw an animal away
but it takes a whole team to find it a new home!
