Never heard of them, but if it is in Janesville, Wisconsin, I do know there are several less than reputable breeders there.

Check out A Puppy Buyers Fact Checker at the top of this page. Both parents should have hip and elbow clearances from the OFA (sometimes hip from Penn-Hip), annual eye clearances from a veterinary opthamologist and at least one heart clearance from a veterinary cardiologist or specialist, not a regular vet. As well, these clearances should be available for at least 4 generations (most breeders have them available for much further back). The puppies should be clean and well-socialized, as should the mother. Generally the father is not on the premises but if so, he also should be clean and well-socialised.

Pet prices, for a pet puppy out of at least one champion or titled parent, in that area average around $1,000 I think.

Kristil Goldens www.kristilgoldens.com and member Doolin www.doolingoldens.com are in that area. You might want to check them out.

We are actually in IL - the northern part - do you know of any great breeders in IL as well as WI? Thanks.

Even when dealing with recommended breeders, make sure to vet out each litter-it just makes sense. Reputable breeders won't mind. And they will have a good answer if you ask them "Why did you breed this litter? Why these two parents in particular?" And it won't be -to make money, or because I own both the sire and dam :)

Mary Lou, who was mentioned above, has an excellent litter due in April. The dam is in Iowa. Her boy CJ is the sire. He's here in central Illinois. And an AWESOME boy! I adore Mary Lou - I would highly recommend her.

Pat Quinn may or may not have a litter coming from one of her boys too. I'm not sure what ended up happening - it was maybe going to be a breeding done with his frozen semen.

Mac will not have any puppies this spring. But maybe in the fall if you are wanting to wait.
