Swaying gait - should I be concerned?

Hi everyone,

On a walk this morning with my dog Rufus I noticed he was swaying a lot when walking. He always has a bit of a bum wiggle but this morning it seems particularly noticeable and I am not sure whether I should be concerned? He is a 4.5 year old male retriever who has been castrated 2 years ago. No other obvious symptoms of pain and still running about, so I am hoping this is nothing serious. I am very reluctant to take to vets unless absolutely necessary as they put the dogs under GA here to do hip X-rays and charge in the region of £700.

Any advice appreciated.

Thank you,
