Happy 10th birthday to Bridgett on January 9th. I haven't been on here for awhile. Between taking care of my Mom and my Bridgett my time is consumed. It was a happy day to make it to her 10th birthday, but on that very day she started coughing and having a hard time breathing again, kinda like in November but not as bad. I took her to the vet and xrays revealed that her lung tumors have grown in the last six weeks. Cancer has also gone to the lympth nodes and her breast tumor has grown bigger. It has been such a roller coaster the last couple of months. I actually sat last night and searched my soul about letting her go. I love her too much to watch her suffer. Thinking I was going to get up this morning and make that dreaded phone call to the vet and she wakes up brand new again after the heavy shot of lasix. Wagging and running with a twinkle in her eye. It's nearing the end, but not today. Keep your prayers coming please. I know that I am blessed to have had so much time with her after the initial diagnosis with not even sign other than that ugly xray that anything was wrong.
I'm glad that she has started doing better and feels like enjoying life a bit after not doing well. Happy belated birthday to your beautiful Penny. Sending thoughts for more quality time that shes able to wag her tail and have that precious sparkle in her eyes.
It's great to hear her doing so well, as you said, today is not the day. She will let you know when it's time.
Each and everyday is a blessing and a special gift, enjoy your time with your sweet girl.
