A friend if mines dog is very ill, she has to get him to take his meds and e will not eat, does anyone have the reciept for those balls that sick dogs will eat? I cannot remember the name of them...any help would be soooo appreciated
It can obviously be divided because not everybody wants to make 10 lbs of those. Be aware it is very rich and perhaps not the best idea depending what the dog's illness is. If it is just to hide meds once a day it might be OK but she might try something simpler like liverwurst or cheese.
I hide meds, in peanut butter balls mixed with whatever cereal (rice krispies etc) I have on hand. I make them in 3's. 1st has no meds, 2nd the meds and 3rd no meds. I would worry about the satin balls in a dog that has not previously been fed raw.
For my little picky girl (who HATED the cream cheese I used once) - I have found that Pill Pockets work well. They come in lots of flavours, and two sizes (for small pills or big capsules - or honking big antibiotics, like the one Tesia is on now!). They would cost more than the peanut butter-cereal mix (which I think sounds great), but right now for me, they're worth the price.
